Employee or specialist
Eight hours makes your people compliant. It doesn’t make them capable.
A bailiff is not just a greeter with a gun.
Anyone can be assigned to court security. A specialist is the one who sees the day coming, knows what to do when it lands, and knows what happens after.
SB 42 says a court security officer has to hold a certification within the first year. Eight hours satisfies it and it can be done at a desk. It teaches what the law says. It does not teach anybody to notice.
We don’t build wand wavers and desk sitters.
Anybody can click through eight hours.
Nobody clicks their way through a bad day.
Forty hours
Give us five days. You get back a different officer.
Monday they are posted at a door. Friday they are reading the gallery, watching hands, knowing who walked in together and where those two go if it turns.
They have already had the bad day. It happened on day four, under stress, in front of the people they will be standing beside. They know what they do when a courtroom comes apart, because they have already done it.
Nobody finishes the training week and screens a bag or a person the same way again.

You bring a courthouse and a place to train. We bring the rest and work with you to fill the seats from the region.

You get first choice of the calendar. A signed host agreement and a purchase order hold the block.
We fill the seats together.
Your officers who need the certification train as part of hosting. We recruit across the region, and we give you a flyer and a registration link to send to the agencies around you.
Your officers certify without leaving town.
Forty hours, on your site, ending with the practical exercise and the live-fire practical.
What is actually happening
Texas courthouses are not getting quieter.
The standard
We know the TCOLE standard because we helped write it.
Our founder, the Honorable Randy Harris, put together the committee that wrote the Court Security Specialist curriculum. Law enforcement, academy staff, a college professor and private security consultants sat around a table, looked at what other states were doing, and set the curriculum for Texas. TCOLE issued the course numbers in 2011 and the Commission adopted the certification in 2013. He founded this company the same year and ran the forty-hour certification for eleven years.
